We provide funding to organisations whose main activity is the rescue and rehoming of UK pets.

We provide grants from £250 upwards; our biggest rescue grant last year was £180,000 towards a kennel build.

What do we fund?

We fund the following:

  • Vet bills
  • Boarding fees
  • Trap and neuter schemes
  • Food
  • Animal care equipment
  • Vehicles
  • Building work
  • Utility bills

How often are grants reviewed?

This is a rolling programme, with decisions made throughout the year.

How often can we apply?

12 months must have elapsed since your charity last received funds from the Pets Foundation.

How do I apply?

Read the grant criteria to check the eligibility of your charity, your project, and what documents are needed. Then contact us for an application form.

How to apply
  1. Read the current grant criteria below carefully to make sure your organisation and your application are eligible for support.
  2. Make sure you’ve included all the supporting evidence required before submitting your application. For all applications this includes recent financial details for your organisation; additional guidance is below. Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any further questions regarding supporting evidence.
  3. We may also ask if we can conduct a visit – virtual or in person! In order to learn more about your work and the way you operate.
