Grant programme off to a grand start!
Here at the Pets Foundation we have recently relaunched our grant programme. After a year of helping rescues with emergency funds, we noticed the need to reopen to larger grants as rescues began to come out of the other side of the pandemic.
So far this financial year we have awarded £159,972! £72,00 of that was awarded at our last grant meeting alone.
Some of the successful recipients include Appledown Rescue awarded £25,000 and Bristol Dawg awarded £21,500. The funds will help them both purchase a new van. This will allow them to carry on their amazing work.
We awarded £7,000 to Sunshine cat rescue, a small volunteer run, foster based rescue. Our grant will help them with their vet bills and food costs.
Furthermore we awarded £6,926 to Cats Protection Erne, towards Vet Bills, Food and Equipment. This small cats protection branch covers over 700 square miles. The contribution from us will ensure the branch can expand its TNR work as well as care for the domestic cats it rehomes.
The other lucky rescues include: The Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home, RSPCA Middlesex North West & South Hertfordshire, RSPCA Longview Animal Centre and Cats Protection Sutton, Kingston & District branch
